The Institute’s Board draws on leaders from finance, culture, law, global health, business, public service, museums, and philanthropy. Each member brings a distinct vantage point shaped by years of senior leadership in their respective fields, along with a shared commitment to the kind of dialogue and cooperation that complex global challenges demand.

Collectively, the Board provides the stewardship, perspective, and credibility that allow the Institute to engage candidly with leaders across sectors and to translate that engagement into lasting public value.

Gary E Hayes

Institute for Global Collaboration, Hayes Brunswick & Partners

As Founder and Executive Director of the non-profit Institute for Global Collaboration I am dedicated to facilitating increased dialogue among nonprofit, for-profit, and public leaders. In this way the Institute strives to promote integrated thought leadership around the most critical problems and opportunities faced by leaders of all types of organizations. We are fortunate to have a Board who brings deep experience across all three sectors of leadership.

As a Cofounder and Managing Partner of Hayes Brunswick & Partners, Gary has specialized in consulting career in leadership development and succession planning for senior leaders, C-suite executives, and boards, with a focus on financial services and large-scale non-profits. With over three decades of experience, I contribute to strengthening leadership pipelines and fostering effective board relationships. Our work emphasizes collaboration, deep psychological insights, and tailored strategies to help organizations thrive in dynamic environments. This work has bridged the worlds of for profit and nonprofit organizations leading me to better understand the commonalities and differences in leaders from each of these worlds.

Gary has also served as a Partner and Managing Director at Russell Reynolds Associates, where he worked with a team of leadership experts, bringing psychological and behavioral insights to executive search and development processes. By leveraging psychometric tools and global benchmarks, they provided actionable recommendations to enhance CEO and Board performance. Their mission was to empower leaders and teams to adapt, grow, and succeed in complex organizational landscapes.

Dr. Hayes is a licensed psychologist and psychoanalyst who deeply believes in the essential importance of the people who lead and build key relationships inside and outside their own organizations.

Dr. Hayes earned a BSFS from the School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University. He also has a Master’s degree in International Affairs, and a PhD in Psychology at Columbia University.

Barrett Burns

VantageScore

Barrett Burns spent more than 30 years in banking and risk management at institutions including Citibank, BankOne, Ford Motor Credit, and U.S. Trust before becoming the founding President and CEO of VantageScore Solutions. Under his leadership, VantageScore became a major alternative credit scoring model, helping expand access to credit for millions of consumers. For the Institute, Barrett brings firsthand experience translating financial innovation into broader economic opportunity, along with a deep understanding of how the private sector can address issues of access and inclusion.

Roger Brunswick

Hayes Brunswick & Partners

Roger Brunswick, M.D., is Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Hayes Brunswick & Partners, providing executive coaching and consulting to organizations from start-ups to Fortune 100 companies. His expertise spans leadership development, conflict resolution, and talent integration across multiple industry sectors. Grounded in organizational psychology, he is a Diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. Now living in rural France, he is the Founder and President of Galerie Louie, a non-profit gallery supported by private donations, local village funding, and regional government grants. The gallery is a destination for world-class art, offering an immersive natural setting that reshapes how people experience and connect with the artwork

Henry Fernandez

MSCI

Henry Fernandez has led MSCI as Chairman and CEO since 1998, guiding its transition to an independent public company in 2007 and its growth into a leading global provider of investment indexes, analytics, and climate data. A former Morgan Stanley managing director, he was named to Barron's list of the World's Best CEOs and to TIME's 100 Climate list. He serves on the boards of Stanford University and Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.

Ken Greiner

Vineyard Theatre and TADA Youth Theater

Ken Greiner is a retired entrepreneur and executive. He co-founded and served as president and CEO and VIce-chairman of Dalton, Greiner, Hartman, Maher & Co. an institutional money management firm from 1982-2022. He also co-founded Art Meets Commerce which produced theater and developed digital advertising platforms for theatrical productions. Ken currently serves on the Boards of The Vineyard Theatre and 54 Below

Jim Lockhart

Bruce Museum

Jim Lockhart has held senior roles across government and finance, including Director of the Federal Housing Finance Agency during the 2008 financial crisis, Deputy Commissioner of the Social Security Administration, and Vice Chairman of WL Ross & Co. from 2009 to 2018. He now serves as Chairman of the Bruce Museum's Board of Trustees, having led the institution through its major "New Bruce" expansion and renovation project in Greenwich, Connecticut.

David McManus

Morgan Lewis

David McManus is a partner at Morgan Lewis and global leader of the firm's labor and employment practice, overseeing more than 300 lawyers. Over his 30-year career, he has advised employers on workforce restructuring, litigation, and crisis management, and has been recognized by Chambers USA and named a "Go To Employment Lawyer" by Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly. In 2026, he was unanimously elected by Morgan Lewis partners to become the firm's next Chair.

Debra W. Still

Pulte Financial Services

Deb Still joined Pulte Mortgage in 1983 as a branch manager and rose to President and CEO of Pulte Financial Services, a role she held from 2010 to 2023 before transitioning to Vice Chair until her retirement in January 2026. She chaired the Mortgage Bankers Association in 2013 and received its Andrew D. Woodward Distinguished Service Award. The Five Star Institute named her one of the Top Ten Women in Mortgage and Housing, and the Denver Business Journal recognized her as Most Admired CEO of 2020.

Bill Roedy

amfAR; GAVI

Bill Roedy served as Chairman and CEO of MTV Networks International, building a global operation of over 200 channels across 200 countries. A Vietnam veteran and West Point graduate, he has chaired amfAR (the Foundation for AIDS Research) and served as Vice Chair of GAVI, the Vaccine Alliance. He founded MTV's Staying Alive Foundation and was the first Ambassador for UNAIDS, earning an Emmy Founders Award and induction into the Cable Hall of Fame.

Together Strengthening IGC’s Work

Together, the members of the board strengthen the IGC’s ability to convene candid, substantive conversations among leaders from different sectors. Their combined experience supports the development of future leadership, helps connect the Institute for Global Collaboration to a wide range of communities and institutions, and advances the public value that comes from sustained dialogue and cooperation on shared global challenges.

Cultural Advisor to IGC

Bennett Rink is the Executive Director of Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater since 2013, having joined the organization in 1994 as Manager of Special Events, later serving as Development Director and Senior Director of Development and External Affairs ailey.org. Over his 30-year tenure, he has led major fundraising campaigns, including the creation of the Joan Weill Center for Dance (opened 2005) and the organization’s endowment, and oversaw its 50th-anniversary celebrations ailey.org.

As Executive Director, Rink has expanded Ailey’s presence in New York City with an annual spring season, strengthened its role as America’s “Cultural Ambassador” through tours to Africa, Europe, and South America, and broadened outreach through film, digital content, and education programs ailey.org. He spearheaded the addition of the Elaine Wynn and Family Education Wing in 2017, increasing studio and classroom space to support diverse age groups ailey.org.

Rink also led a branding initiative to unify Ailey’s programs — Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, Ailey II, The Ailey School, Ailey Arts in Education & Community Programs, and Ailey Extension — and directed the Whitney Museum’s Edges of Ailey exhibition (2025) ailey.org. A graduate of Syracuse University with a BFA in theater, he is committed to preserving and advancing Alvin Ailey’s legacy through education, performance, and global engagement
